Job dimensions / Context

Absheron Early Production Scheme (EPS) is an early development phase to target a first gas production mid-2022. JOCAP Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum is a new Company created in March 2018, which is the Operator of Absheron from August 2018.
Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.

EPS Project technical data:

• 152Mscf/d of gas, 12kbbl/d of condensate; production from 1 subsea well, 34km multiphase flowline, dedicated new platform installed at Oil Rocks field (operated by SOCAR); WHSIP = 555bar, WHFP = 380bar.

New EPS platform adjacent and connected to existing facilities, operated with dedicated philosophies for safety, maintenance, inspections, integrity.

Multicultural context with documents in different languages, mainly Azeri or English.

Activities / Accountabilities:

The job holder main responsibilities during the Operations phase are to assists the Site Superintendent in:

• Management of operations on site.
• Supervising the panel and platform operation team and provide annual performance reviews.
• Operation and control of the production and utility systems and equipment through the ICSS monitoring and reporting systems.
• Holding the key role in PTW process as an Operating Authority and participating in daily PTW meetings.
• Being in constant communication with the onshore Smart Room support.
• Preparation and execution of planned/unplanned shutdowns and campaigns.
• Participating in Incident Investigation and Reporting Processes, such as Cause Tree Analysis.
• Insurance of management and reporting of Inhibitions, Isolations (Process, Mechanical, Electrical), Downgraded Situation, Locked Valve Register, etc.
• To perform the Production and Maintenance equipment testing. Besides, the jobholder is accountable for all Site Field Operations Management System (procedures and tools).
• Being part of the Emergency Response team, to provide support in Management of Emergencies.
• Keeping HSE dossier up-to-date.

The jobholder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements, Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and for implementing and controlling these rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.

Detailed activities: (A: MINOR or OCCASIONAL – B: IMPORTANT or FREQUENT – C: ESSENTIAL or REGULAR)

1. To operate and control the topsides, subsea production and utility systems and equipment through the ICSS monitoring and reporting systems.  – C
2. To monitor the operating parameters of the production equipment.  – C
3. To support Production routine tasks.  – C
4. To execute the subsea system preservation sequences.  – C
5. To respond to ICSS alarms and investigate as directed by Site Superintendent.  – C
6. To ensure the logging of all events in the Central Control Room.  – B
7. To prepare the daily report.  – B
8. To form part of the emergency response team, providing information on equipment status and responsible for starting/stopping equipment.  – C
9. To liaise with the maintenance teams to ensure good coordination and operations compatibility in term of safety.  – C
10. To supervise the coordination of the work permit execution from the control room.  – C
11. To initiate and follow up the necessary checks when deviations are reported.  – C
12. To advise Site Superintendent of any potential hazardous situation or changes to operating conditions and implements any actions necessary to maintain safe continuous production.  – C
13. To participate in production documentation (procedures, guidelines, …) updates  – B
14. To keep a critical eye on installations and Control system and suggest improvements, when required.  – C
15. To communicate with onshore smart room to request support for any recurring problems related to the operations and suggest improvements.  – C

HSE Responsibilities:

• Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System
• Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
• Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task
• Assure of the safety of his work site
• Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution
• Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to Site Superintendent
• Provide active support during Emergency Responses
• Participate in HSE document reviews and Audits
• Participate and provide inputs during Site HSE Meetings

Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor

Qualifications/ Experience:

• Level / Diploma: Master degree in Engineering
• Professional Experience: more than 10 years of experience in Operations of oil & gas facilities including operational positions on offshore sites.
• knowledge of:

1. O&G Control Command System
2. Operations of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities
3. – Process and Instrumentation Diagram
4. – Emergency Shutdown System
5. Responsibility, good communication skill, good team spirit, organisation and method
6. Production Chemistry

• Other required Competencies:

1. Electronic Permit To Work (ePTW)
2. Flow Assurance engineering and Subsea control
3. BOSIET, MEMIR, STCW95
4. IT tools.
