Reports to: Director.

Purpose (General & Strategic goal to be reached by this position): Plans, directs, assigns, and supervises through subordinate supervisors and support staff, the maintenance, operation of HV equipment’s, Calibration and Testing laboratories, supervises the preparation of required documentation and the process of all jurisdictional permits and agreements necessary to support all on-going programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

(Main, essential, regular tasks & duties to be done. Responsibilities for team, processes & programs coordination and management)

  • To act as deputy of Operation Manager.
  • To lead dedicated operation support team (mainly office based).
  • To assign the tasks to dedicated personnel and be responsible on deliveries.
  • To escalate management combined with executive communication.
  • Work alongside vendor resources during escalated incidents, help to troubleshoot incidents, analyze root cause and provide solutions.  Help support and maintain all environment and liaise with third-party providers.
  • Work with technical groups, Responsible Engineers and HSEQ to make sure they can identify and diagnose potential customer quality issues before they become actual problems.
  • Produce environment metrics reports (working with vendors, as required) for management (KPI’s).
  • Facilitate pro-active communications and engagements with key constituents to ensure effective support.
  • Support teams in development and implementation of the policies for asset management, including maintenance of component inventory, related documentation, and technical specifications information.
  • Conduct regular and routine monitoring and management of infrastructure components, ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance
  • Monitor CMMS and other Asset management systems capacity to determine its effect on performance.
  • To manage operational activities efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all the operational teams achieve their objectives for customer satisfaction, in accordance with Company Standards, Procedures and Guidelines.
  • To assist in development and implementation all necessary policies and procedures to ensure all operation and maintenance functions achieve their business objectives, and that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained at all company sites.
  • To establish and maintain controls and documentation i.e. to ensure documentation of decisions, actions, drawings, process etc. are up to date.
  • Provide engineering services, in accordance with corporate guidelines, procedures and standards, with qualified, competitive and efficient engineering competences to customers.
  • Ensure the necessary coordination with vendors and client requirements in order to provide better service.
  • Conversion of project opportunities from identification through tendering and into firm customer orders.
  • Prepare tenders in accordance with company procedures, whilst ensuring suitable margins are maintained.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internally as required. Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses to identify probable cause of failure and suggest improvements to enhance equipment performance.
  • Conduct site visits and equipment performance benchmarking surveys at client sites, arrange all installation and commissioning activities and lead a team to execute projects at client sites if required.
  • Ensure services/ jobs are delivered in a timely fashion and managed within cost budgets.
  • Provide customers with progress updates on a regular basis or as required by the client.
  • Ensure the operation and maintenance plan is always kept up to date and that all equipment is specified and ordered as required by the plan.
  • Provide support for onsite installation, commissioning, service and trouble shooting of the rotating equipment.
  • Set up and control a technical action tracker for customer’s equipment issues holding weekly, monthly & KPI meetings.
  • Sales support to identify engineering upgrade, rotating equipment and advance part sales.
  • To conduct Performance Appraisal reviews at all stages.
  • To identify the gaps of dedicated personnel.

(Secondary tasks & duties could be assigned additional to main tasks & duties)

  • To assist in documentation and implementation of Turn Around (TAR) activities
  • Provide relevant guidance and mentoring to personnel.

Position requirements:

Education:

Type & Level:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or related field (preference to be given to Electrical and Instrumentation background)

Specific Professional Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge about maintenance of electrical equipment’s and process behind the overhaul and operation of Transformers, Circuit breakers, UPS systems, High Voltage Motors and other major items of HV equipment.
  • Familiar with differing international standards (API, ASME, etc) applicable to HV and LV equipment and their ancillary systems.
  • Understanding and application of condition based maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, Transformer and lube oil analysis, integrity and performance condition monitoring systems.

Language Skills: Language & Levels: Fluent in Azerbaijani, English and Russian
Computer Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office Programs
Work Experience: Area & Length: Minimum 5 years of experience in a leading operation and maintenance companies which works in oil processing centers, oil and gas fields and pipeline.
Minimum 7 years experience in O&M management and supervisory roles.
