As a Breakfast Chef, you’ll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

Your day to day:

As Breakfast Chef, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest’s experience. By taking pride in your workspace, keeping your standards high, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you’ll create some of our guests’ most lasting memories.

Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you will assist in one station in preparing and  delivering all food items to the pre-defined expectations and presentation standards and will be moved to different culinary stations in the kitchen depending on the volume and needs of the business.

• Ensuring that the designated station is properly set up and operating as schedule.
• Preparing all food items in designated station, ensuring the right quantity and full adherence to recipes and standards in food quality.
• Effectively dealing with any operational issues that may arise ensuring standards are not affected.
• Ensuring the highest standards of production by carrying out spot checks of portions and presentation of all food items, taking corrective action when needed.
• Minimizing food waste by properly storing unused foods.
• Assisting in other stations, sections or outlets if requested by supervisor
• Stores foods in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and food spoilage.

What we need from you:

• Two (2) years relevant experience in a hotel style environment
• Good knowledge of all aspects of a classical kitchen
• Middle school education or equivalent
• Post secondary education in a Culinary program or related field
• Ability to communicate in English and Russian will be desirable
• First Aid/CPR certified
• Knowledge of safe and sanitary holding temperatures and procedures
• Ability to use safe storage techniques following storage and rotation policies and procedures
• Ability to follow recipes and cooking guidelines
• Ability to work in a clean, organized manner with attention to detail
• Ability to provide legible written communication
• Ability to think clearly, analyze and problem solve
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding/difficult situations
• Ability to lift and carry 35lbs on a regular and continuous basis
• Ability to stand for a minimum of five (5) hours continuously
