Senior Tax Specialist

Reports to: Finance Controller.

What are expected from the candidate:

• Preparing the tax returns and other statutory reports;
• Keeping recording of the tax reporting transactions in accounting software (1C);
• Managing month-end and year-end close process for tax purposes;
• Reconciling the tax and accounting balances;
• Maintaining correspondence with the state authorities;
• Performing the tax research, staying up to date on changes;
• Compiling supporting financial statements and documents;
• Keeping informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations;
• Preparing practical and effective approaches to the client’s tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions;
• Developing and improving departmental information flows by analyzing information requirements and sources and seeking efficiencies in processes to improve overall value of the function.

What qualifications the candidate need to possess:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting and Audit;
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in corporate tax gained in either consulting practice or industry (or combination);
• Big4 experience is highly preferred;
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel;
• Good knowledge of Tax Code of Azerbaijan;
• Working experience with accounting or ERP software;
• Good knowledge of English language is an advantage.
