Key accountabilities:
- Develop and implement proactive process improvements
- Prepare tax payments
- Estimate and track tax returns
- Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
- Organize and update the company’s tax database
- Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns
- Share financial data with the accounting department
- Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
- Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Forecast tax predictions to managers
Required skills/experience:
- University degree in accounting or finance
- A minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant tax experience;
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy;
- Demonstrated analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills;
- Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
- Exposure to general ledger accounting and financial statement reporting
- Experience with online TAX accounting systems;
- Passed ACCA/CIMA exams and exemptions are advantage;
- Good command in English (communication with expat staff members, preparing documents in English, work with IFRS, etc.) and Azerbaijani languages;
- Big Four Tax experience preferred;
- Excellent knowledge in local tax code.
