Python Software Engineer (API development) (Remote Working, Contractor, Renewable)

Requirements:

We require software engineers who can primarily demonstrate talent and aptitude, with a deep passion for coding and building high-quality software. The project is for an application integration system that synchronises users and permissions between a multitude of third-party authenticators and applications via their API, preferably via SCIM.

• Minimum of 3 years production experience
• Proven experience in REST and general API development
• Experience in system integration with external applications via API (API Hooks etc)
• Package Management (Poetry / Conda)
• Working knowledge of Git Fundamentals
• Proficient English (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
• Ability to learn fast and grasp complex topics and structures

Beneficial:

These attributes are highly beneficial but not mandatory. Candidates will be expected to quickly learn and master any gaps in understanding:

• A good understanding of asynchronous / multi-process / multi-threaded coding
• Degree in STEM or Economics/Finance (BSc. /MSc. /PhD)
• Linux and bash scripting
• Experience with DevSecOps (AWS, AWS Lamba, AWS SQS, AWS AuroaDB)
• Understanding of software architecture and design principles (DRY & SOLID)
• OKTA or other SSO, SAML, SCIM
