Reports to: Head of Finance
Areas of Responsibility Include:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for 1) development and implementation of procurement policy 2) coordination, organization of purchasing process 3) contract management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervision and training of procurement team.
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops cost-effective procurement strategies
- Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management
- Negotiates with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Sources and engages reliable suppliers and vendors
- Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers including price negotiations, service level agreements, exception handling etc.
- Reviews existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility, re-negotiates and re-executes them when necessary
- Controls spend and builds a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Performs risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
- Resolves grievances with vendors and suppliers
- Maintains and/or implements purchasing and recordkeeping systems

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
