Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement marketing and communications activities as directed to promote a range of company projects and services
• Administer marketing and communications programs for company products and services, assisting in the evaluation of performance and impact
• Support the Business Development and Marketing manager with the promotion activities and media relations evaluation
• Respond directly to news coverage and media requests
• Support the Business Development and Marketing manager with the design of marketing materials such as flyers, banners and adverts
• Work with our webmaster to increase website usage and update as necessary
• Manage advertising and other promotional activities
• Administer all aspects of the company’s presence at exhibitions
• Any other duties necessary to this post as delegated by line manager.

Education & Experience

• University degree in the field of marketing, business or journalism is required
• Minimum 1-2 years related industry experience

Skills & Required Competencies

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, both in writing and in person
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills with all level of employees, internal and external
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including to senior management levels
• Excellent design eye, attention to detail and proofing skills
• Knowledge of any advanced design programs including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Quark Express would be a benefit
• Demonstration of exemplary business ethics, integrity and honesty in all situations
• Excellent computer skills including Word/Excel/PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
• Ability to work with limited direction and to function as a team member
• Calm under pressure and comfortable working in a busy environment
• To have a friendly, flexible and approachable manner.
