Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Azerbaijan, Onshore

A vacancy has arisen for a Logistics Coordinator as part of the Onshore Business Unit and is available for Azerbaijani citizens only.

This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, reporting to Warehouse Team Leader.

The candidate will be responsible to provide safe and efficient Logistics services to the warehouse, rig locations, projects, covering the functions of receipt, dispatch, handling, storage, disposals, and warehouse organization.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Plan and track shipments of final products according to internal and client requirements.
  • Communicate with external parties to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
  • Maintain and manage delivery schedule. Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible
  • Prepare accurate invoices and packaging lists for shipments and customs clearance.
  • Report logistic and quality problems, issues, and losses to line supervisor and manager.
  • Organize transportation activities and review transportation costs to keep working.
  • Keep track of all incoming and outgoing cargo to and from the warehouse.
  • Secure the fulfillment of the needs and requirements of the operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Work to improve the flow of goods and information within the Warehouse and Supply Chain consistent with the requirements of a lean environment.
  • Provide support to offshore supervision and onshore management in all questions regarding Logistics Management.
  • Ensuring regional and local input is duly considered in all Global Supply Management Projects
  • Driving implementation and compliance of Global Supply Management Strategies and ensuring that common
    sandards, procedures and processes are followed, and best practices are utilized
  • Ensure that all logistics tasks are processed with respect to technical requirements and in line with company policies, standards, procedures and defined processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional Supply Management Projects.
  • Cooperate with purchase team to ensure cost efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with offshore supervision and onshore management and within the Supply Management Team.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures with special focus
    on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
  • Report any Overage, Shortage, Damage or otherwise Non-Conforming consignments.
  • Prepare equipment mobilizations including related shipping documentation (e.g. Cargo Manifests, Cargo Summary Tickets etc.).
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure adequate level of CCU is always available in Warehouse to support offshore and onshore operations.
  • Liaise with third parties to have required MHE (material handling equipment – cranes, forklifts etc.) as and when required for operations.
  • Assist in packing of CCU’s to relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Liaise with and assist any third-party shipping or transportation function as required.
  • Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor.
  • Assist the Procurement and Logistics Team Leader function as required during peak periods, absence etc.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • Commercial education in the University.
  • Experience in customer service or logistics operations (Incoming shipments, customs clearance, handling dangerous goods, warehouse operations, inventory management) is desirable.
  • Good PC knowledge, incl. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of regulation and law (Incoterms).
  • Good communication, coordination and organization skills.
  • Self-discipline, mature attitudes and behaviors, respect and caring.
  • Basic knowledge of SCM policy, practice, procedure & principles.
  • Well organized, proactive and a good communicator.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation.
  • Enthusiastic and hard working.
  • SAP Skills are desirable.
  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and intermediate knowledge of English languages (both verbal and written).
  • Experience within an equivalent role is advantageous.
