Position Summary:
General Education Program at ADA University is hiring History of Azerbaijan faculty member(s) for its bachelor program. We are seeking dynamic, energetic, and entrepreneurial scholars who have a desire to work collaboratively in an international environment. Salary is contingent upon qualifications and the hired faculty member is expected to teach at undergraduate.
Responsibilities:
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students
- Designing courses, developing syllabi and instructional materials to ensure complaince with General Education curriculum requirements and guidelines
- Providing meaningful and timely feedback on student assignments
- Identify and implement different teaching methods and class activities to constantly increase the quality of teaching
- Establish and keep regular office hours
- Assign grades in a timely manner
- Assess students’ needs
- Attend all scheduled staff and university meetings
- Assist with related program functions
Required Qualifications:
- Master/ PhD degree in History with a specific emphasis on Azerbaijan from an accredited institution
- Experience designing and teaching History of Azerbaijan course in the degree program
- Experience in conducting funded research, and publications in major reputed peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at an accredited institution
- Strong commitment to serving university and society
