Assistant Electrical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, direct and control the assigned tasks
• Monitor and control manhour usage and productivity
• Identify and define current project’s technical specifications and requirements
• Study consultant’s basic design drawings such as GA. electrical single line drawings, cable and equipment installation drawings
• Liaise with classification and surveyors to resolve technical issues
• Liaise with vendors and commnissioning engineers
• Ensure that Department has all the valid and approciate plans and drawings for production work
• Define the work areas and assign Supervisors to undertake the works
• Record and keep all documentation of electrical installation work
• Raise requisition forms and follow up to get the required items in time for shipbuiding by coordinating with Purchasing and Warehouse Departments
• Ensure that all the necessary equipment, materials and drawings are available for the assigned work
• Plan the work progressively in the accordance with Block Sequence
• Ensure that works are completed in accordance with the Production Schedule
• Troulble – shooting and problem resolution during production work
• Ensure compliance with all Class and statutory rule and regulations
• Ensure Electrical workers wear full PPE, work in safe environment and are aware of risk on their work.
  

  Education & Experience:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics
• At least 2 years’ related experience

Skills & Required Competencies:

• Well knowledge about electrical principle
• Able to carry out electrical installation works onboard vessel
• Ability to maintain appropriate control documents and records
• Ability to read and understand standard drawings and all technical electrical documents
• Ability to read and understand industry standard technical documents, read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Effectively using planning skills with attention to detail and follow through
• Ability to plan, organize, schedule, direct and supervise subordinate personnel and department activities
• Ability of professional implementation of electrical drawings on site.
• Able to converse/write in both Azeri and English.
