Roles and responsibilities:
- Coordinate all site work with assigned team to customer requirements.
- Supervise field staff for conducting pre-commissioning checks, removal, repair & testing and re-installation, commissioning of valves and actuators and other associated equipment.
- Supervise process of product assembly, maintenance, repair, and calibration to meet business activity and Service Quality KPI.
- Prepare work packs for site and workshop activities, including Quality Plans and Job Routers.
- Lead the planning of site & workshop valve services work and drive the program to meet customer’s requirements.
- Provide technical support to service staff on specific valve related enquiries, orders, servicing and repairs.
- Coordinate with internal/ external resources associated with the repair and/ or upgrade of equipment.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including making recommendations for repairs, upgrades and replacement parts requirements.
- Provide technical assistance on the preparation of valve service / repair quotations.
- Provide technical assistance in the provision of detailed information & specifications as required by the purchasing department for the supply of replacement valves and/ or valve related parts.
- Provide guidance to the purchasing department on suitable sources of supply for replacement parts.
- Generate SOP’s related to valve service, repair, inspection and testing requirements.
- Supervise workshop personnel on a daily basis to include workforce planning, training and competency validation.
- Perform appraisals on all direct reports and make sure annual process is performed for all workshop personnel with action plan to achieve targets.
- Actively contribute to good corporation and communication at all levels in the organization.
- Continue to develop workshop staff to be able to perform additional tasks;
- Ensure that the company`s commitment to the apprentices is maintained at the highest levels to produce first class tradespersons;
- Promote safe working practices in a clean safe working environment, with a team approach to achieve HSE
- Promote Health and Safety and Quality Assurance at work.
Goals & Objectives;
- Minimum 5 (five) years of experience of working in a service and manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge and understanding of all types of valves and actuator systems.
- Previous track record within the pipeline, process, safety and control valve industry.
- Demonstrate problem solving and analytical capability.
- Computer literate on MS office applications especially report writing, tender preparation and presentations.
- Excellent communicator to gain the confidence of customers and staff alike.
- Physically fit and capable of working extended working hours as dictated by urgent client requirements.
- Must be prepared to work short term or rotational assignments in other geographical areas within the region
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Problem solving skills, consistent and accurate reporting and formatting, team working.
- Dynamic and creative, able to work on own initiative, strong in building relationships.
