Requirements:

• Education: Degree in the business or another relevant subject
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Language: Azeri, English, Russian (all fluent)
• Computer skills: Computer literacy (MS Office-Good, Excel-Excellent, PowerPoint- Excellent)
• Team Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience at the Big4 companies are preferred

Job Description:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Define strategy and manage a roadmap aligned with business and company objectives.
• Design and deliver scalable accounting processes and solutions.
• Monitor and analyse accounting data.
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Keep sensitive information confidential and follow internal measures for financial security.
• Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant manage the production of the Annual Report and Accounts and the associated supporting evidence and reconciliations.
• Responsible for the month-end close and coordination of the financial reporting package; review financials with Chief Accountant on a monthly basis.
• Monitor the process errors that caused incorrect tax filings.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Reviews and analyzes journal entries, accounting classifications and other accounting or financial statements, records and reports.
